When Enough is enough

A couple of days ago I was listening to a Christian radio station, and the radio personality said something that really hit home for me. The topic was when will enough be enough. In today's society we are always wanting more, whether it be more clothes, a bigger house, more vacations, or a better job. We need to sit back and really focus on being content with what God has given us. He has specifically picked each and every one of our blessings out for us. There are so many things that we have to be thankful for, and HE is always more than enough. I so often find myself {especially in regards to fashion}, wanting more. Once I get something I had my eye set on, there is always that next thing around the corner. It is so important to realize that these worldly things will not bring contentment, only faith and trust in Jesus Christ can do that. 

This morning I read a devotional that also touched on this subject, I have shared it below:

"Don't wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit." 

-Proverbs 23:4

Do you know when to quit? Is enough really ever enough? Not only is wisdom important in quitting, but so is self-discipline. Isn't it financially true,  just as you are about to reach quitting time something shiny and new comes along and becomes more important. Know when to quit, finish it out, and stay finished.
