Melted color, need I say more?

Melted color, or "ombre color" is basically haircolor that looks sunkissed at the ends. This trend is EXPLODING all over runways and red carpets. It mimics the natural color that children get at the end of the summer. It is very low maintenance, and celebrities can't get enough of it!

The image above is actually melted color by Fayetteville's own Kelly Cooper from Studio 8 Salon, gorgeous!

Eyebrows

Groomed eyebrows frame your face, and make all the difference in the world.

The worst thing you can do for your appearance is wax or pluck your eyebrows too thin.  The key to beautiful eyebrows is filling them in.  For those of you who have blonde eyebrows, this is for you especially.  Take all of your favorite celebrities for example, they all have amazing eyebrows, because they use a pencil or liner to make them big and beautiful.

Go to a professional to shape your eyebrows, then have a makeup artist match a pencil or shadow to your brows.

The bigger the better. Avoid rainbow shaped brows.

Audrey Hepburn made brows famous.

Have a makeup artist teach you the ropes the first time.

Perfect celebrity brows.

Don't be scared to darken your brows if you have blonde hair.

Give styling your brows a try, I promise you won't regret it!

Cat Eyes

Step Two: Cat Eyes

Liquid eyeliner, much like red lipstick packs an instant punch of glamour. I have always loved cat eyeliner. It isn't the easiest thing to be mastered, but the video below definitely makes it more manageable.

Hope that helped ease your cat eyeliner anxiety. Happy humpday!

Red Lips

Over the next three days I'm going to do a holiday make-up miniseries. Three easy steps to a holiday makeup miracle.

Step 1: Red Lips

Red lipstick is such a easy way to spruce up your look. Instant glamour.
Remember to choose a red lipstick with "blue" undertones, these lipsticks are teeth whitening wonders.

Red lips tend to look best with fair skin, so lay off the bronzer and don the lips of a goddess. Also, to keep your lipstick in place, use a neutral lipliner beforehand.

Fun fact: lipstick sales have been known to increase during a recession.

Jewelry Jones

I can't stop thinking about Jane Aldridge's make-shift jewelry holder she featured on her blog awhile back.  She  found the best ornate candlestick candle holder at a flea market, and decided to buy it to hold her jewelry. What a great, and completely obvious idea! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a similar one.

Land of the Bloggers

San Francisco, the place I literally left my heart.  I've been to this sleepy city only a couple of times but could see myself living there forever.

So many of my favorite fashion bloggers also reside there, another reason to head west. One of my new favorites is Aimee from Song of Style. Here are a few of my favorite Aimee looks:

Stud Love

I don't know what it is, but I've always loved studded shoes, especially booties. Christian Louboutin really knows how to make studded leather look edgey, sexy, and classic. Here are a few of my favorites:

Now a few more without studs for good measure:
