Summer Styles

 Braided Pull-Back

How cool is Leighton's double braid?

The Messy Side Braid

Kind of loving this Jasmine look. Is that weird?

The Top Knot

And now I would like you to meet my new best friend, the Goody Spin Pin.  I bought a pair of these after seeing something about them in Harper's Bazaar.  It said that each one of these pins was equal to around 20 bobby pins.

They definitely weren't lying.  I make a top knot with two of them almost everyday.  Just twirl up your hair and screw one in on either side, and VIOLA! If you decide to try the spin pin, or any hairstyle you would like to share, send a pic my way and I'll add your picture to the Reader's Submissions page! Just email me at ashesoflaughter@gmail.com

Have a marvelous weekend!

Erin

Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot's hair could start a revolution. I've always loved her huge hair and amazing cat eye makeup.  She is the poster child for a sex goddess, and even has a gap, just like me.

The modern day Bardot:
I have to say, Drew may even beat SJP and Gisele with this knock-out do.

Melted color, need I say more?

Melted color, or "ombre color" is basically haircolor that looks sunkissed at the ends. This trend is EXPLODING all over runways and red carpets. It mimics the natural color that children get at the end of the summer. It is very low maintenance, and celebrities can't get enough of it!

The image above is actually melted color by Fayetteville's own Kelly Cooper from Studio 8 Salon, gorgeous!

p.s. I'm thinking about getting mine done this afternoon!

Bronde: The New Blonde

Hair that is too blonde is notorious for wreaking havoc on your complexion. It does absolutely nothing for your skin tone, and often looks over processed and damaged.

The solution: multidimensional hair color. Add some highlights and or low-lights to your do. All-over color can look drab but multi-tonal color adds shine, movement, and texture.

Here are a few of my favorite multidimensional hair colors (my new goal is to achieve SJP's):

Brondes:

Reds:
